Kathleen Hanrahan's Travel Pages - Los Angeles
Although I was raised in West Covina, a suburb twenty miles east of Los Angeles, I was actually born in the city of Los Angeles.
Useful travel links (for me)

Pink's, Los Angeles on La Brea - hot dogs open until 2:00 or 3:00 AM
The Hat, various - very yummy pastrami sandwiches - and split the fries or onion rings. Trust me.
Philippe's, across from Union Station - beef, lamb, (etc.) dips
Ye Olde King's Head, Santa Monica - GREAT fish and chips and Guiness, Harp, and Bass on draft
El Rincon Criollo, Culver City - Very yummy Cuban food. No atmosphere, but better food, IMO, than
Versailles (also Culver City).
Greenfield Churrascaria, West Covina - Brazilian BBQ - YUM, YUM!
Red Oak BBQ and Grill, Uptown Whittier - comments on Yelp - RIP, I think!
Yoshinoya (Beef Bowl)
El Pollo Loco
Campgrounds:
Golden Shore RV, Long Beach
East Shores RV Park (Puddingstone), Pomona
My Regional Favorites:
Blossoms - our favorite florist
See's Candy - (Western US, I think) - especially the
Milk Chocolate
Bordeaux (sm)!
Angel's Flight - a little funicular railway on Bunker Hill in Los Angeles
Vroman's Bookstore - the local bookstore where my parents got all of our book birthday and Christmas presents
OpAmp Technical Books - You wanted a tecnnical book? They've got it!
Griffith Observatory - The city's observatory. Very cool architecture. And if the star projector is ever missing, I swiped it! As a kid, I thought that it didn't get any better than that!
